Conflict management is a leadership skill. Conflict management minimizes the negative outcomes of conflict and promotes the positive outcomes of conflict with the goal of improving learning and performance in an organization. Being assertive is a core communication skill. Assertiveness can help you express yourself effectively. Overall Objectives: (1) To introduce practical conflict management skills and strategies that participants can effectively apply when managing conflict in the workplace and non-work interpersonal relations. (2) To enable participants to learn to express their rights, requests, opinions, and feelings honestly, directly, and appropriately without violating the rights and self-esteem of others.Communication competence is essential for all managers and leaders. It is the foundation for conflict management and assertiveness. Communication competence will enhance self-growth, interpersonal relations and performance. This session aims to apply effective communication principles to stress management and assertiveness. |
